I was ready to support him even when it made no sense, but now I more than support him, I am very proud of him for taking definitive action against the awful people who hurt his family. Of course, it sucks that it's having bad consequences for him. But sometimes you just have to smash something because tolerating it costs you more than whatever repercussions your actions might have. Personally I think dealing with this mess will cost him less, emotionally speaking, than the damage if he had forced himself to sit there helplessly and listen while they threatened people he cared about.
He makes me proud bacause he was able not to just think about himself and his career or his image. He cared about his mom and friends first. It doesn't mean he's a violent bullyboy to me... since we know - or at least we can imagine - what made him act like that, i'd rather say his behaviour shows how human and sensitive he is.
I'm not saying hitting someone is a nice pretty thing: but if you do it because you're totally stressed out by your keens being constantly threatned, insulted and assaulted, and you reach a breaking point and just can't help but acting to protect them, well... that reaveals humanity ans sensibility to me.
